Profile of a Natick Educator
JOB GOAL
This position will provide vital support for the existing 36 Interscholastic Athletic Programs. Tentative schedule, but will fluctuate with the timing of the season:
Includes after school/evenings/ and weekends)
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree
Professional Certification:
Valid driver’s license preferred.
Specialized Knowledge:
Best coaching practices for adolescent sports Thorough understanding of and commitment to the principles and practices of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice as they relate to student, staff and community engagement and cultivation
Preferred Experience:
Experience as an athlete in organized sports preferred
Coaching and athletic administration experience are preferred but not required.
SKILLS
Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed.
Bilingual skills, especially in Spanish and Portuguese, are highly desirable
Aa passion for working with students, families, and colleagues
Flexibility and collaboration
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, supportive environment that nurtures student growth
Organization and ability to meet ongoing, time-sensitive deadlines for work production.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and in conformity with state certification requirements.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE
This support will involve, but is not limited to: Handling transportation and bus schedules, including after-hours busing; Scheduling and securing officials for all events; Communicating with local and regional media and social media outlets; Website upkeep and maintenance, including online scheduling of events and MIAA online tournament entry process; Tracking student-athlete eligibility along with database entry; Athletic and special event planning and implementation; Athletic event set-up, take-down and administrative overage, including night, weekend and vacation week competitions and activities; Oversight of inventory, ordering, allocation and return process for team uniforms and equipment. Identifying and addressing bias and its impact on rigor and opportunity for students and staff
Updating policies and equitable access procedures Supervision of the fitness center from 12-3pm on days when school is in session
May be required to operate a motor vehicle, including the Athletic Department van.
Any other relative duties as assigned.

Multitask and meet multiple demands from several people;
Lifting up to and including 25 lbs
The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects or controls.
