Job Description
High School History and Social Science Teacher Leicester Public Schools 174 Paxton Street, Leicester, MA 01524 Teach and instruct high school students in History and Social Sciences.
Develop lesson plans aligned with the Massachusetts Frameworks.
Teach using various methodologies, including lectures, demonstrations, discussions, and laboratory experiences.
Plan, develop, and utilize various instructional materials and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional level of pupils from varied socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds with a range of mental and emotional maturity.
Provide group and individual instruction to motivate pupils and effectively utilize the time available for instructional activities.
Administer, score, record, and report the results of assessments that evaluate student growth and progress.
Counsel, confer, and communicate with parents and school/district personnel regarding pupil progress.
Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to school improvement efforts.
The District seeks a History and Social Sciences teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The candidate shall hold all certifications required to teach History and Social Science in Massachusetts for grades 9-12
