COMPANY_ID=00005387) for this job posting. The Library Media Specialist (LMS) is responsible for managing and facilitating the effective operation of the school library/media center. The LMS collaborates with teachers and staff to support curriculum objectives through the selection and integration of educational materials and resources. The LMS also plays a critical role in teaching students research skills, digital literacy, and fostering a love for reading. The LMS is primarily responsible for teaching the New York State Computer Science and Digital Literacy Standards. The LMS provides instruction that addresses the K-8 Computer Science and Digital Fluency Concepts and Sub-Concepts. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the library/media center.

• Manage library collections, including books, e-books, multimedia materials, and digital resources.
• Organize and maintain library resources to ensure they are accessible, up-to-date, and aligned with educationalstandards.
• Monitor circulation and inventory of library materials.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum.
