Middle/High School Math Grace Leadership Academy Brooksville, FL Job Summary:
The teacher is responsible for organizing and implementing an academically excellent instructional program in a classroom setting for students in grades K-10 who have met the admission qualifications. The teacher will commit to the vision to build leaders who are Spirit-filled, academically excellent, embrace a biblical worldview, embody the founding principles of our nation, and engage in cultural reformation. The teacher will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive educational program that aligns with our school’s vision and mission.

Principal of Grace Leadership Academy Contract:
The term of the contract for employment is for a period of 12 months each academic year, from July through June, renewable annually for 1 or 2 years.
Summary of Responsibilities:
1.
Academic Excellence:
The teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality, rigorous instruction in all subject areas, with a commitment to academic excellence. 2.
Biblical Worldview:
The teacher will be responsible for integrating biblical principles into the curriculum and for helping students develop a biblical worldview. 3.
Character Development:
The teacher will be responsible for modeling and teaching the values of Christian character, including honesty, integrity, respect, responsibility, and compassion. 4.
Spiritual Core Values:
The teacher will be responsible for modeling and teaching the core values of honor, humility, hunger, holiness, and health. 5.
Student Engagement:
The teacher will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation, creativity, and critical thinking. 6.
Differentiated Instruction:
The teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing differentiated instruction that meets the needs of all students, including those with special needs and those who are gifted and talented. 7.
Assessment:
The teacher will be responsible for assessing student learning regularly and for providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents. 8.
Curriculum Overview:
The teacher will outline a curriculum overview (scope and sequence) for the year in conjunction with peers and for approval by the Principal.
Qualifications:
1.
Education:
The teacher must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited postsecondary institution in Education, Ministry, Leadership, or a related field. The teacher should be willing to pursue a K-12 League of Christian Schools (LCS) Teacher credential within a specified period. The length of time needed to complete the certification process is dependent on the degree(s), certifications, credentials, and experience the teacher already has and submits to LCS with their application. Some steps in the process may be waived if the teacher already has certain qualifications in place. 2.
Christian Faith:
The teacher should be a born-again, Spirit-filled Christian who has a deep commitment to Jesus Christ and who seeks to model the Christian life to students. 3.
Teaching Experience:
The teacher should have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a Christian school setting. 4.
Academic Excellence:
The teacher should have a strong background in their subject area, with a commitment to academic excellence. 5.
Differentiated Instruction:
The teacher should have experience designing and implementing differentiated instruction that meets the needs of all students. 6.
Technology Skills:
The teacher should use technology to enhance student learning and possess (or be working toward) the following competencies: Basic Computer Skills, Digital Literacy, Educational Technology Tools, Multimedia and Presentations, Collaboration and Communication Tools, Online Safety and Digital Citizenship, and Information Literacy. 7.
Safety:
Maintain current infant/child CPR and first aid certification.
Required Spiritual Qualities:
It is expected that the teacher will… Acknowledge Christ as Savior and seek to live life as His disciple. Believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God—our standard for faith and practice. Believe and actively support the school’s mission, vision, pillars, and values. Demonstrate a desire for spiritual growth as evidenced by his or her prayer life, Bible study, and spiritual outreach to others. Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others. This includes being committed to God’s biblical standards for sexual conduct. Actively participate and serve in a local Bible-believing church.
Spiritual Leadership:
Have a conviction that God has called her or him to minister as a teacher in a private Christian school. Motivate students to accept God’s gift of salvation and be a Christian witness and role model to them to help them grow in their faith. Personally demonstrate, teach, and continually communicate the vision, mission, pillars, and values of Grace Leadership Academy to students and parents. Maintain high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in all personal and professional matters. Ensure that the classroom environment is Christian-based, nurturing, wholesome, and loving. Lead the students, volunteers, and school families into a deeper spiritual commitment by example and teaching. Work with the Principal, Head of School, and other staff to address the spiritual formation needs of the students. Conduct Christ-centered counseling with students and parents in collaboration with the Principal, or recommend them to professionals who can provide the necessary counseling.
Academic Leadership:
Sign and put into practice all policies and procedures in the Faculty Handbook. Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the philosophy and objectives of the school. Have knowledge of the spiritual, physical, intellectual (cognitive), emotional, and social development of children and understand the problems they face while growing up. Ensure that the classroom reflects a professional, creative, and Christian learning environment. Prepare student lesson plans for each group of students and submit them at a minimum of every two weeks for review by the Principal. Post these lesson plans in the student learning management system for parental access. Keep the channel of communication open with parents, inquiring about their student’s progress or challenges, including email and parent portal messaging. Be willing to schedule parent/teacher conferences when necessary to assess a student’s progress. Keep the Principal informed of all communication with parents concerning their student’s progress or challenges.
Administrative Leadership:
Comply with all school policies and procedures as outlined in the Student/Teacher Handbook and Code of Ethics. Accomplish the goals and objectives assigned by the Principal, Head of School, and Visionary Lead Pastor, and follow school policies. Provide the master plan for the students in your classroom for each academic year to the Principal in a timely manner, in accordance with the overarching academic calendar. Practice the high standards of classroom management and behavior management as outlined in the Faculty Handbook.
