We serve a 100% ELL population of recent immigrants to the United States. Our model uses a project-based, heterogenous learning approach with language and content integration in every classroom. Responsibilities:

Teaching the IM Math curriculum adapted for ELL’s, plus existing projects. Collaborate with other teachers on inter-disciplinary units. Teach an Advisory class focusing on socio-emotional skills using a provided curriculum. Participate in weekly team and Guidance meetings. Teach concepts, skills and language to newly arrived immigrants from many different cultures with an awareness of culturally responsive pedagogy. Speaking Spanish and familiarity with Restorative Justice practices are an asset for this position. Note that you must be licensed as a NYC teacher to be hired.
