Duties & Responsibilities Provide leadership in the Mathematics department through curriculum development and program assessment. Supervise faculty hiring, training, and performance evaluation. Foster student success through innovative teaching and academic support initiatives. Manage departmental resources, including budget and scheduling. Collaborate with institutional leadership to align departmental goals with college-wide objectives. Develop partnerships with local schools, businesses, and community organizations to promote STEM education. Minimum Requirements Master’s degree in Mathematics, Science, or a related field and at least five (5) years of combined experience in education and industry. Experience may include instructional roles, applied research, data science, engineering, technology development, or other professional work that integrates mathematics or scientific principles. All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution. Experienced in designing and implementing programs that drive engagement, retention, and skill development. Proven ability to lead teams, manage operations, and optimize workflows in academic, corporate, or industry settings. Skilled in leveraging technology to enhance training, performance assessment, and learning outcomes. This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College’s District Board of Trustees.
