COMPENSATION
Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement located on the DY website.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
To promote learning and growth of all students and create a safe and effective classroom environment with cultural proficiency.
Perform relevant professional tasks or duties as may be assigned by the building Principal and/or his designee.
Maintain student behavioral standards to ensure a productive and disciplined environment during group rehearsals, practices, and performances.
Collaborate with school administration to organize musical programs for civic functions and school productions.
Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for students.
Maintain student grading and attendance records.
Teaches skills in music understanding/appreciation, harmony, explorations in music and choral music in relation to the level being taught.
Teaching general styles of music.
Teaching classical piano, practical and theory.
Teaching singing to students from beginner to advanced level.
Preparing students for school concerts and planned music experiences.
Deep understanding of music theory, music education, and general music.
QUALIFICATIONS
Massachusetts certification in area of music(K-12)Knowledge of choral techniques.
Ability to communicate articulately and cooperatively with teachers, parents and administrators. Demonstrate functional proficiency on the piano
Demonstrate choral expertise.
Citizenship, residency or work visa required
