Preschool Director Moorings Presbyterian Church 791 Harbour Drive, Naples, FL 34103 Moorings Presbyterian Church is seeking a dynamic and experienced Preschool Director. Operating since 1978, the preschool is one of the longest continuously operating preschools in Naples, Florida. The ideal director will be passionate about early childhood education and must possess leadership skills that reflect sensitivity, compassion and vision. The director will appreciate the school’s priority on teaching the whole child, emphasizing play, academics, and related arts. They will collaborate with our veteran teaching staff, pastor and church leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, guidance, support to teachers and staff; adhere to school policies, procedures, curriculum standards, and the church’s Strategic Plan.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize enrollment, enhance program quality, and create a nurturing and inspiring learning environment for our young students.
- Monitor school’s performance metrics and take proactive measures to address any areas of concern.
- Prepare annual budget and monitor budgetary goals.
- Cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, preschool staff, church staff, church members, and the local community to promote a supportive and inclusive preschool environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Business Administration or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current Certification as a Childcare Director from the State of Florida Department of Children and Families. Must meet all state license requirements, including State of Florida Level II Background screening.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within an educational organization, preferred.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles, curriculum design and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teachers and staff.
