Responsibilities

• Structure adevelopmentally appropriate educational experience in the classroomusing methods such as storytelling, games, and activities.
• Teachstudents to follow rules and procedures in the classroom andschool.
• Monitor students’ progress throughout the year andevaluate preparedness for the next education level.
• Communicateall progress and concerns with tact and professionalism to parentsand the director.
• Build and maintain positive relationships withparents.
• Enforce safety and security standards for children,staff, and visitors.
• Maintain required paperwork for individualstudent files, attendance, incident reports, and other necessaryrecords.
• Successful completion of in-service Childcare TrainingCredential hours will be required by the Florida Department ofChildren and Families (DCF) trainings. Qualifications
• High Schooldiploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Mustpass drug test and DCF Clearinghouse background check. Preferred
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lessonplans.
• Knowledge of Florida Early Learning Standards and theability to implement it.
• Certified or working towardcertification in one of the following: Child Development Associate(CDA) credential, Early Childhood Professional Certificate (ECPC),Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC), or FloridaChild Care Staff Credential Verification. Physical Requirements
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the classroom
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at a time.
• Must be able tosit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, orsquat to be at eye level with children. Full-time Employee Benefits
