Daycare Assistant Ariyely Group Family Daycare 1990 Ellis Avenue, Bronx, NY 10472 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team in providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, particularly toddlers and preschoolers, and will assist in the daily operations of our daycare facility. This role is essential in ensuring that each child receives the attention and care they need to thrive. Duties Assist in supervising and engaging with children during playtime, meals, and educational activities. Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Help manage learning activities and maintain a clean, organized environment. Assist children with personal hygiene tasks such as handwashing and diaper changes. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social interaction and emotional development. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to caregiving and classroom management. Skills Experience in toddler care or working with preschool-aged children is highly desirable. Knowledge of special education practices or experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Strong caregiving skills that demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding. Familiarity with classroom management techniques to create an engaging learning environment. Ability to educate young children through play-based learning activities. Certification in First Aid or CPR is required. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
