This contract role involves managing a caseload within both resource and self-contained classrooms, providing specialized instruction to students in grades 6 through 12. The position offers consistent hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with extended days until 4:30 PM twice weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored educational programs for a caseload of 35-40 resource students and up to 8 self-contained students Utilize adapted curricula to meet the individual learning goals of students with special needs Collaborate with school staff and families to support student progress Maintain documentation and comply with all state and local special education policies Participate actively in team meetings and professional development activities

Qualifications:

Valid EC (Exceptional Children) License required Self-Contained teachers must hold an Adapted Curriculum license Certification appropriate for Special Education teaching in grades 6 to 12 Open to new graduates eager to begin their careers in special education Ability to manage a demanding caseload with professionalism and care

Location & Schedule:
