MIDDLE SCHOOL JUDAIC STUDIES INCLUSION TEACHER

Kohelet Yeshiva Lab and Middle School, an educationally progressive, K-8 Modern Orthodox Day School located in Merion Station, Pennsylvania, seeks a dynamic and talented educator for the position of Middle School Judaic Studies Inclusion Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The Judaic Studies Inclusion Teacher position is envisioned as a full day position encompassing all Judaic Studies instruction for a middle school learning environment. The successful candidate will be passionate about the benefits of an inclusive learning environment for all students. They will have a MA in Special Education or a related field of study. The candidate will feel comfortable teaching and modifying curriculum for Judaic studies for a middle school learning environment that includes tracked classes the inclusion teacher will be teaching. They will be excited by the opportunity to: Work in a highly collaborative, team environment to ensure that the diverse learning, social and emotional needs of all students are met. Work with the Director of Inclusion and the teaching team to create and implement academic, emotional and behavioral learning plans for students in need. Recognize their own weak areas, and actively pursue their own professional growth. Utilize research-based best practices in subject instruction to create rigorous, dynamic, skill-building learning environments for middle schoolers. Be active in the school community (attend events at Kohelet Yeshiva Middle School, including professional development, and open house events, among others).

Qualifications The successful candidate will:

Be passionate about the benefits of an inclusive learning environment for all students. Have a MA in Special Education or a related field of study. Feel comfortable teaching and developing Judaic studies curricula for all children, regardless of learning needs, in a middle school learning environment. Be comfortable with Ivrit. Have the ability to set concrete, ambitious goals for students. Demonstrate a willingness to work with students outside of their academic content area. Demonstrate a reflective mindset, intellectual curiosity, and leadership potential. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
