Job Description
Category Schools – Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A middle school program is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Math Teacher to support 7th and 8th grade students using the Math 180 curriculum. This role focuses on delivering targeted instruction to meet the needs of students with IEPs in a supportive and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide math instruction aligned with the Math 180 curriculum Deliver individualized and small-group instruction based on IEP goals Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support personnel Track and analyze student progress using data and assessments Ensure compliance with special education regulations and documentation requirements
Qualifications:
Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Certification in Special Education (required) Middle School Math certification preferred, but not required Emergency certifications will not be considered Strongly prefer candidates with experience teaching Special Education Math at the middle school level
Preferred Skills:
Experience with the Math 180 curriculum Strong classroom management and instructional differentiation skills Effective communication and collaboration with teams and families
