This position focuses on creating an inclusive and adaptive learning environment for elementary students with diverse abilities in a self-contained classroom.
Qualifications:
Valid multi-categorical certification in Special Education. Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in a behavior classroom. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with paraprofessionals and other staff. Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Proficient in classroom management strategies to promote positive student behavior.

West Columbia, SC Responsibilities:
Provide tailored instruction to meet the individual needs of each student in the self-contained classroom. Collaborate with paraprofessionals and other educational staff to create a supportive learning environment. Develop, maintain, and implement IEPs, ensuring that learning goals are appropriately set and assessed. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed to facilitate effective learning. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic and behavioral expectations.
