Principal Do you want to work in an environment where students’ needs are at the forefront of all decision-making? At The dePaul School for Dyslexia, we focus on identifying the needs of our learners and filling in specific learning gaps utilizing research-based, explicit, sequential, multisensory teaching methods. We support our staff with ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices for assessing teaching students with language-based learning differences.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

Follow lesson plans and teach all subject areas. Track student progress and plan lessons accordingly. Follow established procedures and behavior expectations for the management of multi-age classes. Communicate with teacher and admins to inform, update, and discuss students’ challenges and successes. Maintain professional atmosphere. Regularly adjust to flexible scheduling and frequent student changes. Supervise students in out-of-classroom activities as necessary.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required. Teaching experience required. Experience working with children with language-based learning differences preferred.
