Job Description
Classroom Teacher Long Term Substitute Position August 20 through December 23rd.
- DESE certified elementary or early childhood teacher
- .Familiarity with various literacy programs and approaches, Fundations, various curricula programs and approaches, in particular Expeditionary Learning and Illustrative Math, iReady, IXL and Massachusetts Standards.
- Ability to lead and manage a classroom for approximately four months.
- Familiarity with Social Emotional Learning and methods such as Social Thinking, Collaborative Problem Solving, Zones of Regulation, Growth Mindset and Mindfulness.
- Ability to assess students using a variety of assessment tools and to use the results of assessments to drive instruction.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, administration and families
- Willing to communicate student progress and needs to school administration, parents and other colleagues.
