PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists resource and regular classroom teachers in preparing instructional materials for classroom use. Assists resource and regular classroom teachers in the instructional program as scheduled. Becomes proficient in operating and maintaining such equipment as a laminating machine, copier, and any other equipment necessary to prepare instructional materials. Assists teachers in establishing objectives and developing and implementing a program of instruction that meets the individual needs and abilities of students. Assists teachers in developing instructional activities that are consistent with local and state courses of study ad curriculum guides. Assists teachers in implementing activities using a variety of techniques that utilize instructional time to meet objectives. Assists students with disabilities in transitioning and manipulating the school environment, which may include lifting and carrying students and/or equipment as needed Assists students with disabilities with self-help skills. Maintains confidentiality of information regarding students. Exhibits positive human relations skills Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, and local board policy. Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and ethics, working cooperatively with the Board, the Superintendent, administrators, certificated and non-certificated personnel, parents, and students. Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication. Attends all meetings as required by the Superintendent. Attends Professional training as required by supervisor.
