The TA encourages the involvement of families in the program and supports the school’s mission. The TA supports the Lead Teacher in the classroom.

Position Requirements:

DCF 45 Hours Completed (Part I, Part II, and 5 Hour Early Literacy) and Annual Inservice or working on this or willing to start. Must be completed within 60 day of hiring Preferred, One (1) or more years experience teaching in a licensed child care facility Ability to successfully complete Level II Background Screening clearance CPR/First Aid certified or ability to successfully complete Excellent communication skills; oral and written Ability to help with lesson plans with objectives tied to Florida Early Learning Standards and/or Key Developmental Indicators and student needs Ability to lift 40 lbs. get down to children’s eye level; sit on the floor to engage with students Maintain strict confidentiality relating to children, families, staff, and school issues while performing duties, as well as outside of the school Maintain job related certifications/credentials Added bonus: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Early Childhood Education or a related field or CDA or AA in Early Childhood Education or related field Job duties include, but are not limited to: Help Implementing curriculum that the Lead Teacher puts together Help impart classroom instruction in accordance to lesson plans Maintain a positive learning atmosphere for students at all times Assist students in social emotional skills development Help implement age appropriate activities and monitor safety Maintain appropriate classroom discipline and guidance Take accurate attendance and maintain accurate student count throughout the day Assist students during eating Observe students for developmental issues, communicate findings to Director and Parents Note student progress and observations and ensure accuracy of all recorded information prior to reporting to parents through our curriculum Maintain accurate student records and perform other clerical tasks Partake in professional development and implement strategies which align with our school’s approach to early childhood education Maintain a clean and organized classroom to include bulletin board displays
