Job Description

LOCATION

Dennis-Yarmouth Intermediate School & Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School

DATES:

July 7, 2025 through August 14, 2025

HOURS:

Monday through Thursday, 8:00AM – 12:30PM. Location, hours and number of positions will be determined when enrollment is complete. Summer position only.

COMPENSATION

DYRSD school year Paraeducator IA’s will receive the same hourly rate as their school year position. DYRSD school year Paraeducator II, III, IV or Sec I will be placed on the PE IA step closest to their school year hourly wage for the ESY position, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement located on the DY website.
Newly hired Paraeducator IA’s will be placed on the first step of the PE IA salary schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Working with Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 children who have significant disabilities including autism and complex medical needs. May be required to ride the school bus.
Duties assigned by classroom teacher.
Toileting and diaper changing may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred. Must meet the requirements of NCLB. Must possess an ability to work with students with a variety of disabilities. CPR training a plus. Citizenship, residency or work visa required
