Preschool Assistant Teacher Position Available In Berkshire, Massachusetts

Preschool Assistant Teacher Community Recreation Association 80 Maple Street, Hinsdale, MA 01235 Are you enthusiastic, caring, and eager to make a difference in the lives of young children? The Community Recreation Association (CRA) is looking for a Part-Time Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our team and support a nurturing, engaging classroom environment for children ages 2.9 to 5. This position is ideal for someone who loves working with young children and wants to be part of a growing, community-focused preschool program. While you won’t be the one making classroom decisions, you’ll be an essential part of the team — helping ensure each child has the best possible early learning experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Assist the Lead Teacher with daily routines, transitions, and classroom activities. Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized classroom. Engage positively with children during play, learning, and social time. Collaborate with staff to adapt to the needs of different age groups and activities. Show up reliably, communicate clearly, and be a steady, supportive presence for the kids.

WHAT YOU BRING

Experience working with children (ages 2.9-5) in a preschool/childcare setting preferred. Positive attitude, flexibility, and a true team-player mindset. Meet Massachusetts EEC Assistant Teacher requirements. BRC clearance and Essentials 2.0 certificate a plus. CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
