Student Engagement Paraprofessional Randolph Public School District – 2.4 Randolph, MA Job Details Full-time $27.00 – $27.82 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Qualifications 1 year Entry level Full Job Description The Engagement Paraprofessional will assist the Dean of Students in maintaining a positive school environment for all members of the RCMS community. The selected candidate will assist with lunch, restroom, hallway, classroom and arrival/dismissal supervision throughout the day.

JOB GOAL

To work with students placed in the BRYT program as they need intensive short-term supports due to extended absence or mental health challenges when returning to or transitioning into RCMS to make rapid progress toward academic success and social emotional wellness.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports students by maintaining a safe learning environmentResponds to students in needCrisis de-escalationAssists with lunch coverage and schedules for BRYT programDemonstrates and maintains productive and positive interpersonal skills. Able to be trained and willing to participate in non-violent crisis intervention.

Pro-actively communicates with teacher colleagues and school administrators regarding the academic program, requirements, progress, and status of each student in BRYT.Actively participate in the educational program and help in classroom management, lesson planning, and recording of student data, as requested, including maintaining work tracking data management system for students in BRYTParticipate in staff and/or unit meetings as appropriate.

Actively participate in program and professional development activities in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.

Work with students to implement program goals and objectives.

Maintain professional standards and practices.

Monitor all activities to ensure the safety and well-being of students and inform AP or social worker of any problems, conflicts and/or issues.

REPORTS TO
Building Principal and Assistant Principal of Special Education Salary:

Consistent with Support Professional Collective Bargaining Agreement and depends on relevant experience, degree level and subject, certification, other relevant skills. Paid for 182 work days and 10 Holidays. $27.82 per hour total salary is $37,390
