We provide compassionate, community-based support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), helping them live with dignity, connection, and independence. We’re currently hiring a Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support an individuals who can needs help on Saturday and Sunday. May eventually include some week day hours.

Role:

As a DSP, you’ll work one-on-one with one adult with disabilities—supporting life skills, community engagement, and personal goals such as independence, socialization, and employment. The individual is in a wheelchair and also requires assistance with ADL’s. You’ll help the individual participate meaningfully in their community while encouraging autonomy, safety, and dignity.

Responsibilities:

Work directly with the individual in their home and community Assist with daily living (e.g., hygiene, dressing, meal prep) Assist in medication administration as needed Help plan and participate in community activities and outings Document progress and report changes in behavior or health Follow support plans (NJISP) and agency policies Use adapted vehicle

Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years old High school diploma or GED Valid NJ driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation Experience working with individuals with I/DD or in caregiving, education, or advocacy (preferred) Must be physically able to assist with mobility and personal care Ability to remain calm in stressful situations Ready to make a meaningful impact in someone’s life?
