Position Summary:
Mercy University seeks responsible, energetic Teaching Assistants to support its Verizon Innovative Learning STEM Achievers Summer Program, designed for middle school students. This hands-on program explores 3D Printing, Augmented Reality, Design Thinking, and Social Entrepreneurship.
Program Dates:
July 7-25, 2025 |
Hours:
8:30 AM
- 4:30 PM (Mon-Fri)
Responsibilities:
- Assist with STEM instruction and classroom activities.
- Supervise students during group sessions, lunch, and recreation.
- Support Verizon in mentoring and managing student behavior.
- Oversee student drop-off and pick-up.
- Help plan and conduct fun activities during recreational time.
- Attend mandatory training and parent meetings (TBD).
Qualifications:
- Interest in STEM and youth programming
- Reliable, communicative, and team-oriented
- Experience with youth or in education preferred
- Current graduate student at Mercy University
