Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant performs data entry, analysis, and production of data reports for the Office of Teaching and Learning. This position is also responsible for advanced clerical tasks, recordkeeping, and accounting as required by Federal programs.
Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Experience
Knowledge of computer software programs
Strong data entry aptitude.
Proficient administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning documents
Previous experience with organizing projects and tasks.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Must have strong communication, computer and interpersonal skills.
Must have the ability to learn and utilize new software programs as systems are upgraded.
Must have excellent keyboarding skills and good grammatical, spelling and punctuation.
Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and the school community.
Must have the ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication.
Ability to be highly organized and detail oriented.
Can demonstrate ability to independently type at a copy rate of at least 45 words per minute.
Essential Functions / Duties / Responsibilities
Accurately prepare district reports from raw data, which includes generating charts and graphs utilizing Microsoft Excel and utilize Google Sheets when necessary for communication.
Utilize state and federal online portals for uploads and data extraction.
Update plans, policies, and procedures for state and federal programs to ensure district compliance throughout the lifecycle of the grant(s).
Assist building principals, district administrators, and non-public schools with federal/state compliance tasks.
Analyze and communicate assessment results using spreadsheets such as google sheets and/or excel, to assist administrative teams with identifying strengths and weaknesses in programming.
Monitor and track expenditures.
Create and manage purchase orders and related account codes.
Order, track, and receive supplies and materials as well as process related invoices for payment. Maintain databases for district, state, and federal reporting.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, lift, reach, communicate (vision, hearing, and speech), carry or convey sufficient weight to safely and effectively carry out functions, duties, and responsibilities
Ability to independently ambulate in and around school buildings and office areas
Ability to travel to and from assigned work locations without employer support
