Duties:

• Assist in preparing meals and snacks for children in accordance with dietary guidelines and restrictions
• Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a safe and sanitary manner
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of kitchen supplies
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to accommodate special dietary needs or restrictions
• Support the implementation of curriculum activities related to nutrition and healthy eating habits
• Assist in helping other teachers with their classes when not in the kitchen PA clearances to work in childcare: State police National sex offender registry FBI fingerprinting Child abuse Physical with TB test

Requirements:

• Experience working in a kitchen or food service setting preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with children
• Ability to adapt to the needs of children with special needs, including those with autism or other developmental disabilities
• Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with young children
