The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in middle school mathematics, and will be passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves working one-on-one or in small groups to provide personalized instruction and support, fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success. Duties Provide individualized tutoring sessions in middle school mathematics beginning in September 2025. Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that will meet the unique needs of each student. Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to ensure comprehension and retention of material. Assist students with homework assignments and exam preparation, offering guidance on effective study techniques. Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere to build students’ confidence in their abilities. Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding student progress and areas for improvement. Stay updated on educational best practices and incorporate innovative, hands on teaching methods into sessions. Qualifications Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly in Mathematics. Strong knowledge of subject matter. Familiarity with educational tools and resources that enhance learning experiences. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable manner. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed academically. Experience teaching Mathematics at the middle school level. Teaching certification required.
