Location:

Apopka, FL 32712 (in-person at student’s home) A loving and forward-thinking family in Apopka is seeking a dynamic, creative homeschool tutor to lead full-time instruction for three young learners (two rising Kindergarteners and one rising 1st grader). This is a unique opportunity to design a joyful, structured, and enriching educational experience that blends academics with hands-on, project-based learning – both at home and out in the world. About the Role You’ll be provided with a full curriculum and all necessary materials. Your role is to take those resources and bring them to life – leading all core instruction, planning daily lessons, and integrating enrichment opportunities to meet each child’s academic and developmental needs. Instruction may happen 1:1 or in small groups (depending on your input), and you’ll have the freedom to shape the daily structure in a way that supports each student’s growth, confidence, and love of learning. About the Students The students are bright, kind, and eager to learn. Two are beginning readers, and one is more advanced and ready to be challenged. You must be able to differentiate instruction while ensuring all 3 kids stay engaged and on track across subject areas. Structure and predictability are important to this family, as well as warmth, patience, and creativity. Schedule Monday-Friday, approximately 9 AM to 2/3 PM Responsibilities Include Implementing provided curriculum and adapting lesson plans to meet student needs Leading daily instruction across all core subjects: reading, writing, math, science, art, and social studies Incorporating STEM, coding, and computer science into weekly activities Planning and guiding hands-on, project-based lessons and city-based field trips Supporting the development of life skills, independence, and daily routines Creating a stable, structured classroom environment within the home Ideal Candidate Background in early childhood or elementary education (K-2) Passionate about personalized, project-based learning Experienced working with multiple students of different levels simultaneously Organized, energetic, and able to bring structure and creativity together Comfortable incorporating movement, outdoor learning, games, and enrichment into daily instruction Why This Role? This is more than a teaching job – it’s a chance to build something meaningful and memorable. The family values strong foundational academics, but also wants their children to experience learning as joyful, engaging, and connected to the real world. If you’re an inspired educator who believes in balancing structure with creativity and independence with collaboration, we’d love to hear from you.
