RESPONSIBILITIES
Follows all integrity guidelines and proceduresand ensures no manipulation of student data. Ensures Center meetsor exceeds DOL/Company performance goals. Responsible to providestudents with training leading to Career Technical Trainingcompletion and industry-recognized certifications. Providesstudents with comprehensive and individualized case management thatensures student progress, achievement and completion of the JobCorps program. Provides quality career technical training thatleads to student placement. Provides students with job leads andmonitors placement of all graduates. Ensures classroom is wellorganized and conducive to student learning. Holds studentsaccountable for following Center’s dress code/behavioral standardsof conduct. Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timelyand accurate manner. Maintains appropriate personal attendance,accountability and work productivity standards. Plans, prioritizesand organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete allrequired job responsibilities. Proactively maintains the skillsrequired to perform job duties. Mentors, monitors and models theCareer Success Standards as required by the PRH. Responsible forproviding students with industry recognized instruction andtraining in the Career Technical Training Center leading tofull-time jobs, higher education or advanced training. Ensuresstrict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity ofstudent data. Provides high-quality supervision and management forthe student population. Takes swift and appropriate action andpositively influences student behavior. Shows respect and courtesyto students and holds them accountable for their actions andbehavior. Provides quality programs and services for students andensures that quality is maintained and student needs are met.
Pursues improvement and enhancement of programs and services.
Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in aclear and concise manner and contributes meaningfully to groupefforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Provides qualityand timely information to DOL/Company when requested. Effectivelyarticulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzescauses and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking orrecommending actions. Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriateaction is taken and that problems are in fact corrected. Works inpartnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effectivesupervision and services are provided to students. Acceptsdirection and supervision from the Center Director/Center DutyOfficer/Shift Manager to include assignments to temporarily performjob responsibilities of other departments and positions. Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS& EXPERIENCE A
minimum of one-year experience in teaching orrelated field required. Certified, licensed, or accredited in thestate in which the center is located, or is accredited by aprofessional trade organization. For NTC, instructor must becertified by union or trade organization, or by a national tradecertifying organization. Previous Job Corps experience preferred.
Must possess a valid Drivers License and meet company insurabilityrequirements. Physical requirements include sitting, standing,climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying,reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order toask for necessary assistance. (Depending upon trade)
