SUMMARY:

The CAD Drafter is responsible for providing support to the fabrication department by preparing product layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams of architectural and custom metal projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Uses computer assisted design/drafting (SolidWorks) equipment and software to develop designs.
Creates and revises fabrication drawings.
Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimensions, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
Drafts detailed multi-view drawings of products.
Draws finished designs from sketches.
Sets up and maintains an organized file system for production drawings.
Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Associate degree
2+ years of relevant/technical work experience OR
An additional 2 years of large-scale program management experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and scheduling applications

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree
3+ years CAD Drafter experience
Aviation experience
