Summary:
Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating customer’s new product or process development programs by providing technical guidance/assessment in the design, development, assembly and test engineering disciplines within Jonal Laboratories manufacturing. In this position, you use your expertise in engineering principles to create innovative solutions that meet the needs of thepany’s customers.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Serve as the technical expert for new product development projects, providing engineering support from concept throughmercialization.
Lead or participate in cross-functional project teams to deliver new products to market on time and within budget.
Rmend changes to materials or processes based on engineering data; Participate in design reviews and FMEAs
Conduct material test(s) to determine characteristics such as strength, resistance, and other properties that affect performance in applications
Conducting research and experimentation to develop new products or improve existing ones
Develop engineering standards and codes of practice to be used by other manufacturing engineers
Manage supplier qualification and approval process for new and existing suppliers
Investigate, evaluate, and rmend new technologies and methods to improve NPI process
Provide resources and solutions to engineering department and manufacturing process problems utilizing lean principles.
Consult with Engineering team as needed and assist with part development as necessary
Occasional travel may be necessary to customers in the US and abroad, periodic assistance at industry trade shows, etc.
Perform other duties or projects as assigned by management

MS Office software and internet usage – and
ERP / MRP

CAD/CATIA V5
Software or related software
Education and Experience:
Bachelors’ Degree in mechanical engineering or related field
Minimum 3-5+ years of engineering experience in a NPI Engineering role
Minimum CATIA and/or
SOLIDWORKS
design capabilities
Familiarity with
AS 9100/ ISO
9001 and/or aerospace level quality systems is a plus
