The Opportunity:

Th Sr. Process Engineer works with the Maintenance team in all aspects of the facility, production, and maintenance programs and guidelines. The Sr. Process Engineer assists in training and supports the operations maintenance team in areas of safety, equipment performance, innovation and all applicable areas that to maintenance. How you will impact

Smurfit Westrock:

Maintain all Smurfit Westrock, Plant and Departmental policies and procedures including Safety within all selected locations.
Maintain all National, State and Local laws and codes
Works with the facilities Computerized Maintenance Management System with an emphasis on planning/scheduling, preventative/predictive maintenance, and admin support.
Build a relationship with facility management to ensure development of employees, programs, and systems are aligned with facility goals Contributes to the performance and documentation of the plant’s Preventative Maintenance (PM) program using Smurfit Westrock’s maintenance program guidelines and software; assure that the maintenance history of the facility’s equipment is properly maintained
Monitor condition of equipment, audits plants’ equipment and assist in maintaining asset registers accuracy
Assist with the recruiting and hiring process for Maintenance personnel when requested
Monitor the operation of all equipment, systems, facilities, and utilities to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems and identify opportunities for improvement
Assist in establishing vendors, inventory levels for standard supplies driven by plant needs; monitor the use and inventory levels of service/repair parts, maintenance supplies and janitorial supplies to assurepliance with divisional guidelines
Monitor and maintain sound MRO practices using established purchasing contracts and agreements Establish and develop engineering and vendor relationships that will benefit facilities in gaining efficiency, reducing labor cost or initiating innovative ideas and technology
Liaise with vendors to build a support team for training and support on the equipment for individual facilities
Assist in creation of the facilities capital budget and assist with capital expenditures Assist in planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.
Assurepliance with Smurfit Westrock, OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations for the use, storage, shipment and disposal of all regulated chemicals and products used in the plant
Provide Management Teams with various reports, as needed
Assist with plant floor plan drawing updates Assists with equipment installation and relocations
Offer support to Smurfit Westrock Maintenance Department employees and Smurfit Westrock Management 24/7 via telephone, email, or in person if needed
Assist with developing or enhancing skills and knowledge of the individual maintenance team members with educational opportunities in house and in public
Assist with employee goal setting
Work with other departments and the plant on projects as needed for the benefit of Smurfit Westrock What you need to succeed: HS Diploma, BS preferred
Must have in depth knowledge of the Manufacturing operation and maintenance requirements for converting equipment and for Plant/Facility equipment and systems (HVAC, airpressors, lighting systems, power distribution systems, dock equipment, and plumbing) Thorough knowledge of machine and maintenance shop equipment (drill press, metal saws, mill, lathe, forklift truck, and hi-lift work platforms.
Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems
Strong working knowledge of PLC and motor controls
Ability to work from schematics and blues
Strongputer skills
Solidanizational andmunication skills Ability to support plant operations to include machine controls, set up, trouble shooting and data base maintenance Must be able to lead and challenge the maintenance team to be innovative and creative in reducing costs and enhancing production
