SENIOR CHEMICAL ENGINEER Position Available In Hamilton, Tennessee

Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide technical support to production unitsand site utilities. Lead RCAs to eliminate major and repeat causesof efficiency loss and downtime. Work with other departments andworkgroups as needed to safely transition new products intoproduction on schedule. This includes developing a scope of work,initiating MOCs / PHAs/PSSRs, preparing / revising costingestimates, reviews of environmental / regulatory requirements,development of SOPs and batch sheets, training of operationspersonnel, scheduling, and coverage of plant introduction trials,and communication of trial results and recommendations with otherwork groups. Propose and implement projects to optimize unitoperations and improve safety. Gather and report environmental /regulatory data as needed for reporting. Understand andtroubleshoot chemistry challenges with the process. Providetechnical support to Project Engineering group in the developmentof project scopes and equipment / instrument sizing andspecification. Participate in site-wide improvement initiatives byperforming engineering studies and providing technical and projectsupport as needed. Lead, participate in, and assign incidentinvestigations as needed. Participate in revalidation PHAs as atechnical process resource as needed and address risk reductionefforts. Develop performance of direct reports as assigned bysetting meaningful and measurable PDP goals and objectives that arealigned with site and business goals. Also, provide feedback anddevelopmental opportunities for direct reports to reach their fullpotential. Develop strategies to strive for the highest standardsof customer service and drive continuous improvement in thereliability and capability of processes and products.
