$57.4K – $84K a year 9 hours ago Qualifications MicroStation Wastewater treatment Engineering Mid-level Microsoft Office Bachelor’s degree Civil 3D Construction Associate’s degree Drafting 2 years Communication skills Green infrastructure Full Job Description Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a skilled Civil 3D Designer to support engineers and senior design staff in producing high-quality drawings and construction documents for a variety of water, wastewater, and environmental infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce construction documents and support engineering design across multiple project phases.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare plans, profiles, cross-sections, and details using Civil 3D for municipal infrastructure projects. Develop surfaces, alignments, corridors, pressure networks, and pipe networks within Civil 3D. Coordinate with engineers and designers from other disciplines to ensure model integration and resolve conflicts. Apply client and company CAD standards and file organization protocols. Contribute to quantity takeoffs and construction support documents.
Experience requirements:
A minimum experience of 2-6 years with AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting/design in the engineering or construction industry.
Qualifications/Skills required:
Experience with water, wastewater, stormwater, or site development projects preferred. Knowledge of surface modeling, grading tools, and pipe networks in Civil 3D. Familiarity with ProjectWise, MicroStation, or OpenRoads is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Effective communication skills and attention to technical details.
Educational Requirements:
Certificate, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Design, Drafting, or related field preferred.
