Job Summary:

We areseeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer and/orProject Manager to lead critical downtime repair efforts, managehigh-volume, low-cost capital projects, and drive thestandardization of equipment across multiple industrial facilities.

This role plays a vital part in reducing operational downtime,improving reliability, and ensuring consistency in facilityinfrastructure and equipment. Candidates should have a strongbackground in industrial or chemical construction, excellentproject management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functionalteams in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

ProjectOversight

  • Lead downtime repair and low-cost capital projects fromplanning to completion, aligning with organizational objectives.
  • Create and manage comprehensive project plans detailing scope,timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Proactively identifyproject risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timelydelivery and adherence to quality standards. Site Management
  • Oversee repair and standardization work across multiple industriallocations.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate work quality, enforcesafety standards, and verify compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and suppliersto ensure seamless project execution. Equipment Standardization
  • Support the development and rollout of standardized systems andequipment across facilities.
  • Partner with engineering andmaintenance teams to identify standardization opportunities thatimprove performance and reduce repair variability.
  • Ensurespecifications align with industry best practices and internalreliability standards. Budget and Resource Management
  • Develop,manage, and report on project budgets for downtime repairs andcapital improvements.
  • Negotiate vendor and subcontractoragreements to ensure cost-effective project execution. TeamLeadership
  • Direct and mentor onsite project teams to foster acollaborative, safety-conscious, and results-driven culture.
  • Hostregular stakeholder meetings to provide project updates, resolveissues, and align goals. Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure allactivities meet local, state, federal, and corporate regulatoryrequirements.
  • Coordinate permitting and inspections withapplicable regulatory bodies. Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, includingcontracts, reports, and change orders.
  • Deliver regular updates tosenior management regarding project progress, risks, andmilestones. Risk Management
  • Evaluate risks associated with repairand standardization initiatives and develop mitigation and responsestrategies.
  • Enforce safety compliance and lead the implementationof robust safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor’sdegree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, ChemicalEngineering, or a related field.
Experience:
  • 5-7 years ofexperience managing industrial downtime repair and capitalimprovement projects, preferably in chemical or industrialenvironments.
Skills:
  • In-depth understanding of equipmentstandardization, maintenance best practices, safety regulations,and operational efficiencies.
  • Strong communication, leadership,and organizational abilities.
Technical Proficiency:
  • Proficientin project management tools such as MS Project and the MicrosoftOffice Suite.
Travel:
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50-75%)for project oversight at multiple locations.
PreferredQualifications:
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM(Certified Construction Manager) certification.
  • Experience inchemical processing or industrial facilities focused on maintenanceand equipment upgrades.
  • Familiarity with API standards andrelated safety protocols.
  • Understanding of Lean principles foroptimizing repair and standardization efficiency.
