JobDescription:

Lead the technical activities of a design team on differenttypes of programs including new product development, production and IR&Dprograms. Work closely with Program Manager, Engineering groups,Manufacturing department and other departments as necessary to expediteproject completion and facilitate the overall operation of project team.

Essential Functions:

Facilitate the overall operation and performance ofa project team with general oversite from manager. Provides coordinationbetween resource managers/supervisors and Program Manager. Coordinatesand overseas some of the cost/schedule/technical aspects of ongoingengineering projects within the program guidelines set by the ProgramManager and customer Provides technical leadership and works with aChief System Engineer on issues related to subcontractors, suppliers andcustomers, supports management of the technical risks and opportunitiesto optimize program performance Work with Program Manager to ensure thatall technical contractual obligations or project baseline requirementsare fulfilled, reviews program documentation and other work productscreated by the program team. Work with Program Manager and LeadEngineers to assure adherence to cost, schedule and qualityrequirements. Contacts are primarily with Engineers and Program Managersand can act as one of the technical contacts for the customer. Frequentuse and application of technical standards, principles and techniquesPrepare and monitor engineering project team schedules, plans andbudgets, competent in understanding and reporting EV metrics. Estimateresource needs for developmental programs. Prepare and deliver technicalpresentations to customers. Conduct design reviews internally and withthe customer Coordinate preparation of work breakdown structures, taskdescriptions, basis of estimates and other resources required to performcost estimating. Support new business opportunities related to theproduct. Work with the engineering team to adhere to Quality SystemsManual and applicable Standard Work Instructions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.

Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Inlieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Experience being a Technical Lead on a developmental or productionprogram ideal Strong literacy in Earned Value Management Ability toobtain

US DOD Secret Security Clearance Preferred Additional Skills:

Bachelor of Science Degree in one of the following disciplines ispreferred: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, SystemsEngineering, Physics, Computer System Engineering, or comparable coreengineering discipline Multi-Disciplined Team Lead Experience 5+ yearsafter receiving Bachelor’s degree
