Are you an experienced automation professional ready to make a strategic impact in high-volume, precision manufacturing? We’re seeking an Automation Engineering Manager to lead the implementation of advanced automation technologies across multiple manufacturing sites. This is a high-visibility, hands-on leadership opportunity that offers direct influence on operational efficiency, safety, and throughput for a global industrial manufacturer.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead the exploration, design, prototyping, and launch of cutting-edge mechanical and electro-mechanical automation technologies. Assess existing production lines to identify opportunities for automation, cost savings, and integration improvements. Develop equipment specifications and collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, finance, engineering, and plant leadership to execute automation initiatives. Oversee vendor relationships and equipment contracts, ensuring financial milestones and technical performance targets are met. Train operations and maintenance staff in equipment use and troubleshooting, ensuring knowledge transfer and operational continuity. Coordinate with domestic and international teams to ensure alignment with corporate automation strategy. Define infrastructure and documentation protocols for deployed systems, promoting long-term process control and improvement.

What You Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, or related field 10+ years of hands-on experience developing and implementing automation systems in an industrial or manufacturing setting Proficiency with systems communications (OPC, XML, Modbus, etc.) Strong leadership and project management skills across multidisciplinary teams Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt preferred) Excellent communication and technical documentation skills A passion for innovation and continuous improvement

Bonus Qualifications:

Multi-site or international facility support experience Prior exposure to casting or metals manufacturing environments Experience with advanced data tracking or system validation infrastructure
