Job Description
As the Manager of Engineering you will lead the engineering team in driving safety, innovation, efficiency, and quality throughout the organization. This role is responsible for overseeing all engineering activities related to the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing systems and production processes. The Manager of Engineering should strive to build a team of engineers who can deliver solutions that align with the company’s objectives and contribute to the organization’s success and growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead engineering team by setting clear expectations, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. Encourage and support the professional development of engineering team members helping them grow their leadership and technical skills. Prioritize and delegate engineering projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Provide guidance and support to engineering teams in solving complex technical challenges. Oversee new product development and process optimization of EBM, ISBM, IM, and other manufacturing processes. Drive a mindset of continuous improvement in effort to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. Manage engineering budgets, optimize resource utilization, and drive cost-saving initiatives. Work closely with production, quality control, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions into full scale production. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental sustainability goals.
Preferred Technical Skills and Experience:
Experience in
GMP, ISO 9001
20015, lean manufacturing, 5S, process troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Strong technical expertise in plastic processing, including knowledge of polymer materials, tooling design, and equipment operation. Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in blow molding and/or injection molding. Minimum of 15 years of experience in hands-on equipment troubleshooting and repair. Minimum Technical Skills and Experience Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with plastics or similar materials. High level of computer literacy and proficiency in relevant manufacturing software programs (a plus). Has strong command of the English language with the ability to communicate fluently both verbally and in writing Strong understanding and practical experience working with 3D drawings and CAD documents Experience with Microsoft Office products including, Word, Excel and Outlook?
