Engineering Manager –
Direct Hire Amityville, NY Salary:
$110,000-$125,000 (DOE) We’re hiring on behalf of our client—aleading, well-established manufacturer of fixtures, millwork, andcasework. They are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to leadtheir Design Engineering team in a full-time, on-site role.
Aboutthe Role:
This is a hands-on position where you’ll actively supportand guide the engineering team in the development and maintenanceof parametric 3D models, approval and production drawings, CAMprograms, and documentation to support manufacturing and productdesign. You will be directly involved in problem-solving andprocess improvement, playing a critical role in day-to-dayoperations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor the DesignEngineering team, promoting continuous improvement and skillsdevelopment. Actively participate in and oversee the creation ofCAD models, drawings, and CAM programs. Establish and maintainengineering standards, procedures, and best practices. Overseeengineering change orders and document revisions. Monitor andimprove engineering KPIs. Provide hands-on technical support tomanufacturing, product management, and cross-functional teams.
Promote and implement continuous improvement initiatives across theorganization.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3Dmodeling; SolidWorks PDM experience required. SolidWorkscertification strongly preferred. Experience with SWOOD is a strongplus. Background in fixtures, woodworking, millwork, or sheet/tubemetal design is a plus. Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Engineeringdegree preferred. Strong understanding of mechanical draftingstandards and GD&T. Excellent technical writing andcommunication skills. Experience with iLogic, Visual Basic, C++, orC# is a plus. Proven leadership and mentoring experience in anengineering environment.
