Our client is a fast-growing company known for its ability toprovide highly engineered technology, service and system solutionsto a range of aerospace and associated markets. Globally focusedwith strategic facilities on four continents, they offer a range ofproducts, components and integrated systems that are found on mostcommercial and military aircraft, as well as on unmanned aircraft,military ground vehicles, shipboard applications and spacecraft.

Core product lines include: fluid control, landing gear andactuation, and electro-mechanical control. They are going to beexperiencing significant growth over the next two to three yearsand offer a unique opportunity to be a shareholder within theirgrowing organization! Position Summary Lead the Quality program andorganization at the Hauppauge site. This position will be chargedwith supporting the Operations and Supply on all sides of thebusiness as well as using the tools to drive systemic processimprovements into our organization. The role will be partner withmultiple stakeholders in the Hauppauge business from operations tooutside customers each day. Most importantly, this associate willplay a critical role in advocating for our customers and as such,be a key member of the Hauppauge Leadership Team. Direct ReportsQuality Engineering (3-4) Inspection Supervisor PrincipalActivities Responsible for long term market position by assuringthe quality of our solutions, and processes. Responsible forownership of CAR (Corrective Action Report) and SIR (Shop IncidentReport) systems as well as all non-conforming actions. Smoothtransactional capability for certification preparation, activelysupport shop RCCM, implement a solid vendor quality review process,and develop team as needed. Achieve seamless product and processflow, gain NDT Level certification to support all weld and NDTinspections and personnel training, testing and certification.

Establish positive relationships with key customers. Partner withcustomers as required to assist with problem solving by determiningroot causes, implementing effective counter measures, and followup. Support on time delivery with timely completion of QA documentpackages and building Quality into Operations. Assist with contractreview and flow down of customer requirements. Partner withEngineering, Purchasing, and Operations to create a plan anddocument accordingly. Partner with suppliers as required to assistwith problem solving by determining root causes, implementingeffective counter measures, and follow up. Support Defenseshipments while improving productivity of completing necessaryactivities. Assist Operations to reduce the number of customersreported quality issues (VIR’s, SCAR’s LOA’S) to improve customervendor scores. Work to simplify processes with easy-to-understandlanguage and allow for flexibility. Reorganize resource allocationimplement feasible, sustainable measuring techniques toward the TQMeffort. Requirements Ensure compliance with

ISO 9000 & AS9100.

Musthave an ASQ of Quality Excellence, ISO and AS9100 Auditunderstanding and

knowledge. Must have clearunderstanding of Defense contract and specifications able to workclosely with shipyard and DCMAO inspectors. Must have a clearunderstanding of FAR clauses and contract requirements flow down tomaintain all requirements are followed through production andinspection plan. Must have experience with military inspectionsrelated to contracts NDT processes ISO and other governmenttechnical documents to ensure compliance. Must have leadershipabilities, strategic thinking, foster innovation, manage time,perform with integrity and relationship building and create value.

Must have solid Six Sigma, and root cause corrective actiontraining. Formal training in the Toyota Production System/LeanManufacturing is a plus. Must be an exceptional communicator withthe ability to interact with all levels of the business Must be aU.S. Citizen to meet DOD requirements Must be able to travel 10%Education & Experience Experience is often gained through work in aspecific technical field or professional discipline. Theirexperience may include “lead ” responsibilities or other pastsupervisory experience. 4-year college degree in an applicablefield and five years related experience OR equivalent combinationof education and experience.
