About the Role The HVAC Sales Engineer plays a vital role in growing ThermaServe’s market presence by developing long-term relationships with clients and offering specialized HVAC service solutions tailored to their operational needs. This consultative sales role combines technical expertise with strategic selling to help clients reduce downtime, increase system efficiency, and optimize building performance. In this role, the Sales Engineer will have the opportunity to: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients in mission-critical environments
Work with cutting-edge HVAC technologies and system solutions
Develop new business in high-growth verticals including healthcare and industrial markets
Partner with skilled service teams to deliver seamless project execution
Play a pivotal role in shaping the growth trajectory of a dynamic, client-focused organization Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development

  • 40% Generate new business opportunities within targeted verticals (healthcare, commercial, institutional, etc.)
    Create and execute a strategic sales plan to meet quarterly and annual goals
    Conduct site walkthroughs, qualify leads, and develop solutions tailored to client needs Client Relationship Management
  • 25% Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers, facility managers, and engineers
    Conduct regular client meetings to understand pain points and provide service recommendations
    Follow up on service performance and long-term solution planning Technical Consultation
  • 20% Leverage HVAC and mechanical system knowledge to evaluate facility requirements
    Prepare detailed proposals, scopes of work, and service agreements
    Stay informed on equipment trends and energy-efficiency opportunities Internal Coordination
  • 10% Work closely with project managers and service technicians to ensure successful project delivery
    Coordinate internal hand-offs and client expectations post-sale CRM Management & Reporting
  • 5% Maintain accurate sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline tracking using CRM tools
    Provide regular feedback to leadership on market trends and competitive activity Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a technically savvy, relationship-driven sales professional with a proven ability to develop business in the mechanical/HVAC services industry.

They thrive in consultative environments, are comfortable navigating complex client organizations, and bring a deep understanding of building systems. This person is proactive, self-directed, and motivated to contribute to both client success and company growth. Qualifications 3-7 years of experience in technical sales, preferably within HVAC/mechanical service
Working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, controls, and mechanical infrastructure

Education/Training:

Any relevant degree (i.e., Mechanical Engineering, Building Systems, or related field OR industry-recognized certification, and/or relevant HVAC experience will be considered
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
CRM proficiency (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for client meetings
