Job Description:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities The PI Engineering Technician shall, at a minimum, be responsible for the following functions:

  • Assist in gathering data for engineering studies/projects for new processes, process changes and improvements to (1) improve safety in manufacturing, (2) improve product quality and uniformity, and (3) increase production efficiency and decrease standard costs.
  • Assist in the transition of product from prototype to production.
  • Assist with process validations (IQ, OQ, and PQ)
  • Assure customer quality expectations are reflected in all products being produced.
  • Communications with engineering staff, co-workers, customers, vendors and other business contacts.
  • Interpret requirements and convert them into detailed procedures/work instructions.
  • Partner with engineering staff to help customers solve technical issues and determine customer requirements.
  • Participate and support CI Lean team activities such as 6S, TPM, Kaizens, and other related activities.
  • Provide training to manufacturing personnel for new processes and products.
  • Troubleshoot problems with existing production processes. Education and Experience Requirements
  • Technical Degree in industry-related technical discipline preferable. Technical School Certification, or Military Equivalent, Associate Degree with two years of relevant industrial experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings and be able to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Able to multi-task with changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Intermediate computer skills, proficient in MS Office applications like Word, Excel, Visio, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to comprehend technical details and be able to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations, meetings, and training events.
  • Organized, self-motivated, detail oriented, flexible in scheduling and prioritization.
