Mechanical Technician 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars Nesquehoning, PA 18240 OneSource Staffing is currently partnering with a client in search of a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assembly, with a strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Previous auto mechanics or those with a background in vehicle assembly or repair are strongly encouraged to apply!

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in a production or job shop environment . Previous experience in automotive mechanics or similar mechanical roles is highly encouraged. Strong skills in wiring , detailed assembly, and blueprint reading . Tool ownership required to support daily tasks. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 150 lbs occasionally (with assistance). Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow procedures with precision. Effective communication skills —both verbal and written.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret specifications, drawings, and assembly plans to ensure accurate assembly. Assemble components by following detailed procedures and guidelines. Wire control panels, motor starters, and trailers (both AC & DC systems). Fabricate, build, wire, and assemble components to meet precise tolerances. Monitor dimensional accuracy to ensure high-quality, error-free assemblies. Perform hydraulic hose layout and assembly , including the use of crimp machines. Assemble subassemblies for power units (reservoirs, brackets, pump drives). Complete full power unit assembly , ensuring attention to detail and quality. Test and document results of completed power units. Maintain clean, organized, and safe working conditions at all times. Use tools and equipment safely to maximize longevity and efficiency. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supervisory teams to exchange technical information. Assist with assembly painting as needed. Troubleshoot parts and machinery for optimal performance and efficiency.
