AutoCAD Technician B&P Excavating 23670 Sacajawea Rd, Sedalia, MO 65301 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying detailed drawings and schematics using various CAD software. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and architects to bring projects to life. The CAD Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring accuracy and quality in all technical drawings. Responsibilities Develop and prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software such as SketchUp, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks. Create schematics and layouts for mechanical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with project teams to understand design requirements and incorporate feedback into revisions. Draft technical documentation, including specifications and assembly instructions. Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications. Assist in the preparation of project presentations, including 2D animations as needed. Maintain organized files of all drawings and revisions for easy access by team members. Experience Proficiency in CAD software including SketchUp, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, NavisWorks, SolidWorks, and experience with drafting mechanical designs. Familiarity with creating schematics and technical documentation is highly desirable. Previous experience in a similar role or relevant educational background in engineering or design is preferred. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
