Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree, 3D CAD experience, and proficiency in Autodesk Inventor.
Job Description
Description The Drafter will be responsible for creating, completing, and maintaining 3D models, detailed assembly and part drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM) in support of engineering, manufacturing and estimation activities throughout various project stages. Work with Engineering to develop 3D CAD based models of components and assemblies in support of quoting and production activities Create Engineering drawing packages for projects to support production activities on the floor Edit and maintain Engineering models and drawing packages throughout project lifecycle ensuring proper revision control Works with Engineering to update and maintain drawing BOM’s and Material BOM’s in Apogee Ability to accurately produce simple to complex, models, illustrations and drawings in accordance with company standards from data, sketches, or verbal communication Store and retrieve technical documents within Autodesk Vault Manage the drawing approval and lifecycle process using Autodesk Vault Manages and maintains CAD symbol libraries in Vault Responsible for creation and maintenance of part symbols, part models, and sub-assemblies in CAD, ensuring proper naming convention and attributes population is being followed Create bills of material consisting of fittings, hardware and custom brackets Effectively manage multiple design projects concurrently Support manufacturing activities as required Maintain high quality standards Provide accurate data entry Skills 3d modeling, Design, Autocad, Mechanical design, Drafting, Mechanical, assembly drawing, part drawing, BOM’s, manufacturing industry, autodesk inventor, Hydraulic schematics, fea analysis, cnc programming Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or Technical school One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3D CAD focus preferably Autodesk Inventor 2016 or later
