Biogas Development Engineer Salary:
$125,000-$150,000 A global leader in renewable energy is hiring a Biogas Development Engineer/ Landfill Gas Manager . Preferred locations are the Miami, FL , but remote work is possible for strong candidates. The role involves ~30% U.S. travel, with some international trips. You’ll support business development by creating technical and commercial proposals for landfill gas projects, working closely with internal project and operations teams. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of technical and commercial proposals for landfill gas upgrading projects. Collaborate cross-functionally with project delivery, operations, and commercial teams to align project goals. Conduct site assessments and technical evaluations to support project feasibility. Build and maintain relationships with landfill owners, operators, and key stakeholders. Support contract negotiations and contribute to overall deal structuring. Stay current on regulatory trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies in biogas and RNG. Travel approximately 30% within the U.S., with occasional international travel as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
10+ years of experience in biogas, landfill gas, or waste management-ideally in engineering, permitting, or system design roles. Strong understanding of landfill operations, regulatory requirements, and gas collection systems. Familiarity with RNG production technologies, equipment, and industry best practices. Degree in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering (or equivalent experience in lieu of formal education). Proven ability to communicate clearly and build strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners. French language skills are a plus, but not required.
