Survey Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining surveying equipment and performing assigned surveying tasks.

  • What You’ll Do:
  • + Operate and maintain all technical survey equipment assigned by the corporation.

+ Perform assigned surveys to establish lines and grades at commercial sites as well as property boundaries.+ Provide topographic surveys of assigned areas.+ Perform and detail all calculations necessary in support of survey reports.+ Prepare time sheets and expense reports.+ Responsible for uploading field data, notes, photos, and maintaining personal job schedule.+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with

May convince to reach an agreement.+ Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.+ Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.+ Open to Traveling Long Distances for commercial ALTA surveys.+ Other related duties as assigned.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.+ High School Diploma or equivalent experience, GED, or trade school diploma with 2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.+ Valid driver’s license+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 100 lbs. or more.+ Equipment knowledge of: Total stations, GPS, Data collectors, Metal detectors, General surveying equipment, Carlson software+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.+ Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.+ Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
