Seeking experienced Project Engineers for our ProductionFacility for eight programs. The candidate(s) will support one ormore of the eight programs listed below. The Sr. SpecialistResponsible Engineering Authority Project Engineer role requires ahighly experienced engineer who will represent the engineering COEwith respect to assessing and resolving production
- program productnon-conformances.
This individual will have total knowledge of alldesign and performance aspects of their assigned program to theextent that this knowledge will allow them to make accuratedispositions of non-conforming hardware. Their activity will beworking with a cross-functional team involving the assigned Chief,Project, Design, Quality, Manufacturing Engineers, and ProductManager.
Responsibilities:
Under general direction, the Sr.
Specialist Project Engineer determines approaches to objectivesdemonstrating a complete understanding and application ofprinciples, concepts, and practices:40%
- Real time WIP NCprioritization
- repair, scrap evaluation / functionalcoordination. 40%
- Real time process optimization, Yieldimprovement support
- minimize waste and optimize resourceutilization. [TDP Integration, DFMEA / PFMEA Risk management /updates, KC updates / classification, MRL Improvements supportingAOP]. 10%
- Factory specific technical inputs enabling Root Causeand Corrective Action and Sector Systemic Learning. 10%
- Assist indesigning & testing new equipment, processes, procedures andsystems.
Required Experience:
Works on site in Camden supportingcritical production programs. Knowledgeable of all design andmanufacturing aspects of their assigned program. Technicallycapable of assessing any and all non-conformances to determine animmediate action (UAI, Rework, Scrap…) in order to keep productionmoving. Provides Real-time process optimization, Yield improvementsupport
- minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.
[TDPIntegration, DFMEA / PFMEA Risk management / updates, KC updates /classification, MRL Improvements supporting AOP]. EngineeringResponsible Authority on root cause and effective correctiveactions (RCCA), closely partnered with the Quality organization indetermining root cause and effective corrective actions for statedNCs. Manages required engineering analysis support to inform”Design Engineering” dispositions. Knowledgeable of and able tospeak to/represent the AR Material Review Board processes.
Understands pertinent codes, rules, and regulations related toareas of engineering assignments Use engineering test equipment,CAD, and computer applications with various office and engineeringsoftware applications Understands and adheres to SystemsEngineering principles in Requirements and Risk & Opportunitymanagement. Familiar with standard engineering tools and practices.
Understands theories, principles and practices of engineering andproject management methods. Understands rocket propulsioncomponent(s) and theory of operation. Understands safetyregulations, principles and practices of work safety. Ability toobtain a US Security Clearance.
Preferred Experience:
Proficient inCAD, GD&T, Analysis or Materials. Working knowledge ofMicrosoft Office software. Ability to quickly assess complexproblems, make decisions, and drive closure. Previous experienceworking root cause and non-conformances. Previous experience inproject, materials, process, manufacturing, and/or integration/testengineering. Previous experience designing & testing new equipment,processes, procedures, and systems. Six-Sigma Certification.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior ProjectEngineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years ofProject Engineering related experience. In lieu of a degree,minimum of 10 years of prior Project Engineering experience.
