Accountant Position Available In Franklin, Alabama

Accountant Sunshine Mills, Inc. Red Bay, AL 35582 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to interpret financial data effectively. Duties Responsible for monthly reviewing and reconciling of General Ledger Accounting Preparing monthly supplier bank reconciliation’s Assisting with month and financial report closing and analysis and ad hoc tasks Monitor, analyze and reconcile prepaid expenses Miscellaneous receivables, accruals and other balance sheet accounts. Prepare and post journal entries as needed. Review and file sales and use tax reports Assist with lease payables and monthly entries. Assist with other general accounting related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

BA/BS degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Accounting or Business (Preferred) Up to 1 of experience in accounting function with industry (Preferred) Excellent numerical and analytical skills Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting competencies Good organizational abilities Proficiency in MS Office and competency in computer software Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Must be dependable, able to multi-task and the ability to meet strict deadlines Join our team as an Intermediate Accountant where your expertise will contribute significantly to our finance group.
