Construction Accountant

In this role, you will play an integral part in project and job cost accounting while supporting general accounting functions, including month-end close. Key Responsibilities
Manage project and job cost accounting, including tracking and reconciling costs, budgets, and expenditures.
Collaborate with project managers and teams to provide timely and accurate financial analysis of project performance.
Support general accounting tasks, such as journal entry preparation, reconciliation of accounts, and ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Assist with month-end close activities, including preparation of financial reports and analysis.
Partner with operations teams to monitor contracts and change orders, ensuring accurate cost allocation and project forecasting.
Analyze project KPIs and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in project or job cost accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
Understanding of percentage-of-completion accounting principles preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
