Fort Myers, FL Full Time/Direct Hire/Onsite About the Role This position plays a vital role in managing the financial integrity of complex projects. The Construction Accountant is responsible for reconciliation efforts, supporting billing strategies, and mentoring junior accounting staff. The role works closely with Project Managers and the Director of Project Accounting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and financial transparency across all assigned projects. Key Responsibilities Lead project reconciliation and financial closeout processes Assist in developing and executing billing strategies aligned with project execution plans Provide guidance and mentorship to regional accounting staff Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and reporting Support internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies Analyze project costs, forecast budgets, and identify discrepancies Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and systems Experience in a paperless work environment; ERP experience (e.g., Vista) preferred Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package Professional development and leadership training opportunities Positive, supportive, and team-focused work culture Opportunities for career growth in a dynamic industry
